Professional Massage Therapy sessions usually range from 60 minutes to 90 minutes. Most of the treatments will incorporate several techniques to customize the massage experience to each individual.
Most people prefer 90-minute massage sessions because the human body operates on 45-minute cycles, and it takes on average 2 cycles for your body to fully relax and get the maximum benefit from the healing session. Every 45 minutes our bodies Qi (chee- energy flow) from the toes to the crown of our head completing a full cycle, and that’s why the minimum of 60-minute massage sessions are required for our body to feel a benefit.

Types of Massage Therapy
Deep Tissue
Usually done for people who can tolerate lots of pressure and have gotten many massages in their lifetime. This one is great for all body types and the most desirable one.
Myofascial release
Our body is made up from connective tissue such as muscles, tendons, and fascia that interconnects and inhouses everything together. Fascia has gotten a lot of attention lately, because previously scientists thought that connective fascia did not play a major role. However, recent research has shown that if our body is in one position for a long time, such as sleeping on one side, or sitting for long periods of time, then facia grows in those areas and becomes less mobile. There are special techniques to loosen the fascia and restore your body elasticity and flexibility.
Trigger Point
If you can breath through the pain, then you will enjoy this type of massage. This technique focuses on those stubborn knots in your neck, shoulders, and back.
Instrument assistant
Variety of instruments are used to release scar tissue, sore muscles, and tendons. This technique is great for rehabilitation and post surgeries to help recover faster.
Shiatsu
Japanese technique that uses lots of pressure points on the body to restore the balance of Qi and release muscle tension.
Lymphatic drainage
Great technique for draining and restarting your whole entire lymphatic system. When you need to have a natural skin lift, or help with swelling post surgery, this is the way to go.
Cupping
Old traditional techniques that use suction cups that are placed on the body, drawing the blood and toxins to the surface of the skin, helping detoxify and release tension within your body.
Prenatal
Pregnancy is very hard on a woman’s body, and it’s very important to get a prenatal massage to ease the pain in the lower back, neck, legs and other achy parts of your body. Womens’ bodies go through tremendous stress and biomechanical changes during pregnancy, so it’s essential for women to get massages. Prenatal massage techniques design for women to lay on her side while therapists work on the entire body to release aches and pains.
Sports
Combination of deep massage with lots of pin and stretch techniques. This is a very active technique and great for athletes or someone who is constantly training.
Acupressure
Focusing on the hands and feet to locate the sore spots that correspond to the body regions, and release those points to balance the Qi from fingers to toes.
Swedish
Very relaxing, very mellow and very rejuvenating. This one is great for people who do not tolerate much pain or for those who bruise very easily.
